Thanks to the change of not deducting a win it didn't bother me too much that I couldn't pass it. No GE on monday meant I couldn't play a few rounds to get some. I couldn't have gone ahead in my tech tree to unlock the military buildings because they wouldn't have been built and had units trained before the DC timer expired. It's one thing for something to be challenging but how high of a boost does one need to defeat 2 waves, that high boosted with last eras troops?Įven if I had found a couple in the questline that wouldn't have saved me. So what does my Monday DC give me? Defeat this very large army, 2 wave all ME with an 80% (i believe) boost. I advanced prior to GE (I normally advance after GE) specifically so that come next hood change I will have ME UAs to put as my DA. I had tried playing ahead to get ME troops in advance but I could not find a quest to give me any by the time I was halfway through the ME map. Seeing this reminds me I meant to ask a similar question on beta but forgot. But missing one challenge a month or so, is not that big a deal. While I wish they would rebalance these in the meantime, having no negotiation option is my complaint. Not being any different than Level 4 GE, I can't cpomplain about the fairness, I'll get there if and when I choose to battle through all of GE. It's not worth the number of units I lose to do it. It's only the 2 wave 16-unit battles when the defending army has a 30+ percent boost that I can't beat. I'm developed properly for everything else. It has nothing to do about "advancing without properly developing". But I always still have the option to negotiate, an option not given here. Fighting through the 2nd qtr of level 3, then negotiating the rest, I do just fine in GE and as my A/D develops, I'm able to fight further. Still in HMA or LMA depending og the city and A/D boost one of many competing priorities, I developed a city that works fine to complete GE 4 every week. In GE I'm given the option to negotiate any of the encounters I don't want to / can't fight. Click to expand.Yes, Army Challenges are scaled to your Age/Era, these are scaled like GE level 4.
